The Christian Institute of Neurobiotheology (CAN) is a Christian not-for-profit organization committed to pursuing the integration of evidenced based neuroscience with Holy Scripture. New revelations of how the nervous system drives our neuro/bio/social and even spiritual health have revolutionized the field of neuroscience.

Christians are now able to understand what the Biblical term flesh (biology) means and how it has shaped our lives into predictable patterns of survival, protection and defense often outside of our awareness even before we had conscious choice. This is the reason Jesus said “forgive them for they do not know what they are doing” when he was on the cross (Luke 23:34) and that “do not be afraid” is the most repeated command in Scripture. God knows we cannot grow, heal, or change when we do not feel safe.

And a felt sense of safety is only found in living in love that connects us and in truth that protects us. The mission of CINBT is to aid in the restoration of neuro/bio/social/spiritual health through teaching, training, coaching and a supportive global community of Christians seeking to experience a more embodied faith.
